To a DECENT time on what passes for our local liberal talk station. I am tired of gold infomercials, car racing shows and Ed Schultz squatting in Mike's former time slot.

Maybe there's a reason why KPHX is tanking in the ratings

I have given some thought to the sparcity of stations carrying mm's show.
Given that most program directors are still emerging from the brain wash of their education and that they are also on the make in "entertainment", they are probably put off by what we mm regulars regard as standard fare.
When a "statistically normal" person hears an appeal to ethics or moral behavior that is not couched in the standard flag waving/ fear God terms, it may as well be in a foreign language.
The first response most people have to something new is caution or fear.
The radio stars of tomorrow are no different from the rest of the mob, they are surrounded by a culture of danger and attacking "others" just the same as the rest of the Pavlovian people and as a result, understanding may be beyond them.
And to hear Mike really go off on some subject, like the end of the world or the MIC control of the state, is enough to have them hit the panic button.
"What sponsor is going to buy this?" is the first thing, the second is probably "How could this effect my rise to fame and fortune?"

Our problem here is very simple. Non-radio people doing radio. I won't get into naming names but KPHX is an ongoing train wreck. I worked in radio (albeit 2 million years ago in the good old analog days) and I can clearly see what's wrong.

Mike's voice needs to be heard now more than ever. Just the other day I heard Ed Schultz say that another Three Mile Island could never happen because there are too many safeguards in place to prevent that. Boy, talk about gullible.

Even if that were true, let's ask the fat red head if he wants the toxic waste stored in his state.

Then there's that whole 9/11 thing that he (and his sub sike kick Errol Lewis) refuses to talk about.

I miss hearing Mike beat the crap out of those single-digit reich wing callers who somehow manage to dial his number and get on the air. I know Mike gets frustrated with them but it makes great radio! Kind of like when Alan Berg used to beat the crap out of neo Nazis who called his show. Back in the days when a liberal could be heard in like 30 states on a 50,000 watt station.

Now all the liberal shows are on stations with less power than my night light.

The people at the top do not care what we think No Longer waste time trying to get on the AM station what listeners want. The public station here has finally put better shows on just look
