A well-regulated malitia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed
OK there we go, now a few questions.
1. Where does it say we can't regulate the manufacturers?
2. Where does it say we can't regulate the gun stores?
3. Where does it say we can't lisence gun owners?
4. Where does it say we can't make sure mentally imbalanced people won't be able to buy a gun?
Now, before y'all go crazy talking about a liberal gun grab, first you MUST point out when a liberal EVER made a gun grab.
The only one that I know of thaat made a gun grab was GWB, if memory serves me HE IS A REPUBLICAN! _________________ LISTENER #25

Also of interest is what exactly, in modern terms, is meant by "well-regulated" and "militia". _________________

You are right Yuri.
I have my own definition of those terms, and every NRA member will disagree with me. _________________ LISTENER #25

I don't have a problem with people being able to have guns as long as they are held fully accountable for their actions. But the latest case involving Treyvon Martin isn't showing that promise. Even if convicted on 2nd degree he will likely get 7 or less and be out in as little as a few years. And this is a pretty clear case of a gun nut, wannabe cop vigilante who instigated a confrontation and then ended it with his gun (real tough guy). Not exactly being held accountable. And that to me is the main problem with gun laws. When we see people who shoot others by mistake...in the heat of the moment...inebriated or other circumstances get 30 to life then we will have adequate penalties to the responsibility of gun ownership. You will get more time robbing a corner store for 50 bucks then you get for murder. Its ridiculous. _________________ Time to go Green. |

Why is it that I get the gun-grab reaction, when that's not even the point I'm trying to make?
Sure, if you've been convicted of a violent crime, or if somebody notices your mental instability,
you need your guns taken away because you WILL harm yourself or somebody else. _________________ LISTENER #25
